I’ve been spinning up a storm this weekend. First, finishing off my Spunky Eclectic Mandy which I’m hoping to Navajo ply tomorrow night at our guild meeting – assuming someone there knows how.
Second, completing our Creative Fibre Challenge. Sue gave us some synthetic fibre to have a go with. It looks similar to Lurex. To be honest, it was a sod to spin as I over- and under-spun. It came apart easily and I found it too difficult to get an even thickness, so settled for an ‘art yarn’ approach with thick and thin, and plied it with cotton thread.
