In a departure from only using this blog to show my FOs, I just had to say something about last night’s American Idol finale show.
Even though I knew the result, it was a terrific show full of talent and awesome headliners. I even managed to not drop so much as a single hint to my companions. We were all rooting for Adam. So there was a horrified, disbelieving “NOOOO!” when the winner was announced as Kris. We can only conclude that despite America’s much-vaunted liberal displays, it is in fact a country largely populated by very conservative homophobic Christians. Bless ‘em.
Good luck to both young men, and also to Danny and Alison. But yeah, America… wtf???
