I made these cards for my employers, as a fundraiser for Give a Girl a Chance (www.giveagirlachance.org). There are loads more variations, but this is the basic theme for this year. Every little bit helps – I get to support one of my favourite charities AND get all crafty!

Purple ATC Challenge
Posted in Papercrafts on January 9, 2008 | 2 Comments »
I’m in several Yahoo groups, some with various challenges going on, but I usually run out of time to sign up for any. However, with a wave of my magic wand, I managed to sign up for this on on the ATCs-NZ group: make 6 ATCs, any theme, but mostly purple. DONE! Yay me. They’re [...]
Polymer Clay ATC

The ATC (Artist Trading Card) art form really appeals to me. Combined with a boatload of polymer clay supplies that I haven’t had time to play with since purchasing them, I’ve come up with this cute PC ATC. This is the first thing I’ve ever made with polymer clay. I’m pretty pleased with it, actually… [...]
Wall Art Inchie

Pondering what to do with a boxful of Christmas and birthday cards, I suddenly had a brainwave – inchies! I really like inchies, probably because they appeal to the neat-freak Virgo in me (I’m a Pisces with Virgo rising). And they’re so easy to do…
I cut up 2″ square pieces of each card (1″ was [...]
Garden Inchie

Oh dear. It’s been months and months since I last made it to my art room. That’s what travelling about the countryside will do to one’s artistic ventures. Anyway, I’ve persevered and finally got something done – another inchie. Yes, the madness continues with these teeny little arty bits. I’m still enamoured of 3D texture [...]
Inchie Insanity Continued…

Not content to do another 5×5 inchie collage, I’ve gone all altered on it to boot! This one uses a blue linen inclusions paper as the background, tiny square punchouts from stamped-and-inked scraps, Japanese seals and – here’s where it starts to get really crazy – seed beads, gold foil stars, and two novelty wools. [...]
Parchment – March POM

Another YahooGroup I’m in is the Parchment-Pergamano-Paperlace group. Every month we do a project. Here’s mine for March – not what was suggested, but still from the same pattern book. The character means “Peace”.
Inchies Challenge

A suggestion went round on the Creative-Cards group to do some 1″ artwork. Having never done one, I thought I’d attempt a small one – just 5×5. It took HOURS, but I enjoyed the process, especially because of the theme I chose – my family (and my cats!)
ATCs – Part II

I’ve finally gotten around to finishing off my 9 Human Qualities ATC series. I was going to do the whole 9 with vintage images, but I think all the gluebook collage work I’ve been doing recently has influenced me in brighter, bolder directions.
Humility, Hope and Belief use embossed lettering, wiped with a stamp pad for [...]
St Patrick’s Day
Posted in Papercrafts on March 17, 2007 | 3 Comments »
Thanks to Lisa’s generosity, I’ve put together this collage in celebration of St Patrick’s Day. I didn’t do any celebrating on the day myself (completely disorganized!), so this’ll just have to do… (grin). Thanks Lisa – I really enjoyed playing with all the downloaded sheets… and there’s so much left over! I can feel some [...]
